Purpose The Asian Law Students Association (ALSA) aims to promote equity and diversity within both the legal community in Thunder Bay and the legal community beyond Northwestern Ontario. ALSA aims to assist Asian law students (law students of Asian descent, including but not limited to students descending from South, East, Southeast, West, and Central Asia) in establishing a strong student association at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law. ALSA’s goal is to engage law students through social and academic events, and panel discussions relating to issues affecting Asian-Canadian law students and lawyers. ALSA will strive to cultivate a strong professional network for its student members by facilitating educational, networking, and mentorship opportunities for Asian-Canadian law students.
