The Greek Council serves as the primary governing body of the Greek community at the Orillia Campus of Lakehead University. The powers of the Greek Council reside within this document and the body of representatives made up of Council members and university community members. This body exists to 1) regulate the operation of Greek-letter organizations at Lakehead University, 2) conduct and promote educational programs, philanthropic endeavours and social events, and 3) facilitate the colonization process for new Greek-letter organizations seeking recognition on campus. In addition, the Council is primarily responsible for the establishment and enforcement of policies for the Greek community, in conjunction with the Lakehead University Students Union and the Clubs and Societies Office.
